Plan Of Action

To improve my magazine second time round, the first thing I shall do is take some more pictures for my each page of my magazine with a new model so that I have a greater variety of images to pick from in comparison to my draft, and so it also fits better with the alternative theme that I was originally intending to aim for, as my draft came across as more of an alternative rock magazine when I want it to be alternative pop. Although I do like the photos that I have taken for my draft magazine, like previously stated, they do not suit the right sort of genre that I was aiming for, so I am going to take some more photos of another person whom I believe fits more of a Lana Del Rey aesthetic, in a different location with a more plain background to make it easier when it comes to placing fonts/text over my magazine spread. Secondly, through the feedback that I've received from my peers, I am going to change certain aspects of my layout, especially with my contents. Whilst before my contents proved to be very white and plain with a few pieces of text at the very bottom of the page, this time I want it to be more colourful so that it catches the readers eye better. I'm also going to make the double page spread look less messy by placing some of the shapes/text in different places than I did the first time around, just like how I will also do on my cover page alongside adjusting the size of certain pieces of text. Overall, at this stage of my current draft alternative music magazine, I am very pleased as a whole as I think all three of the designs that I created capture a bright alternative style which may not particularly have been the exact thing I was aiming for, but would still be able to appeal to a large audience that I was actually trying to appeal to. The feedback that I have received as well overally has been very positive, allowing me to feel good about the work that I have already done, and also boosts me with my confidence levels to continue going and make my magazine as great as it can possibly be as a finished piece.
